sv-mark
still undecided on what gun to get but after having a look in a localish shop seen a Winchester select sporting 2 I liked the look and feel of this gun and think the matt barrells made it stand out a bit, it is up for £915 and also seen Bettinsolli supersport that is second hand had about 500 carts through it and that is up for £699. both are 30 inch barrells does the prices seem right? also they both have inv+ chokes now is this a good thing (sorry don't know a lot about them) Thanks Mark
J@mes
£700 for a s/h bettensoli is laughable IMO. thats getting on for beretta money!

kingo
if you have cash and not useing a card then keep tabs on ere there are lots of excellent second hand guns that come up for sale and dont pay anywhere near dealer prices, go to dealers and have a try of the guns decide what you like then ask in the wanted section someone is always selling and possibly what you want.... Guest topshot_2k
The winchesters are quality guns built by browning/FN in belgium. I have one and cant fault it
ChrisNicholls
I have just bought a second hand Bettinsoli Supersport that is as new for less than that - £625 actually and it's impossible to tell from new - so you might be able to haggle that one down a bit. I couldn't say if the Winchester was good value but I can say that the Bettinsoli is a very nice gun for the money, every magazine and online review I read before buying it said that it was a great gun for the money and worth more than the price it's sold for, having now got one I have to agree. The only other sporting multi choke I have owned was a Beretta, a 28'' 686, a good gun but not worlds apart from the Bettinsoli. I'd like to know where all these sub £700 used 30'' multi choked Berettas are - when I was looking for a gun I never found one even close to that, you might find a very well used game gun for that sort of money, but I never even got close for a 30'' M/C sporter which was why I bought the Bettinsoli - I'm now glad I did. J@mes
I paid £650 delivered for my 1997 687 sporting multichoke which has had very little use just before christmas.
sv-mark
thanks for the quick replys I was buying a lanber off someone on here but I was let down at the last minuite so that has made me go towards the shop sale, and also the fact I am not 100% sure of what to look for at least with the shop you get a warranty. I thought the supersport may be a bit overpriced because for another £50 you could get a brand new bettinsolli diamond x, i know it is a "lesser" gun but is there that much difference? sbald
I think you need to shop around as the shop you have looked in seems to be very expensive. I bought a brand new Bettinsoli diamond last year and with 1000 carts, a cleaning kit and slip it came to £800, There are a few on Guntrader for £595 brand new. I cant fault the gun so much so that when I had to sell one to fund a rifle I sold my Browning and kept the Bettinsoli.
