sirnovember
I need to get some movement in my pattern somehow as the birds don't seem to come in. I've heard mixed reviews on the magnet, but I've heard flappers are the dogs ********. Any advice? Where to buy, what model to get ect.. turk101
Hi mate, The flappers are in my opinion very good. i would rather use two flappers then carry the magnet only to realise it needs to be brought back in because the birds are flareing from a long way off. i don't find this happens as much with the flappers. try our site sponsers they usually have some good deals also discount for PW members. hope this helps. regards turk101

turk101
Hi Tis, U have virtually answered your own question, every time is different. i personally go by the wind mostly, if it's a nice strong wind from behind me i tend to place the flappers a bit further out maybe 1 to the back left leg of my pattern and 1 a little closer in on the right. mainly it's trial and error, i don't feel no way to change it as the day goes on after seeing the confidense of the birds. also remember what may work this time may not next time. hope this helps regards turk101
MerseaDavid
The flappers are great for brinning the birds in. We brought a pigeon magnet and flapper for £99 from Uk shootwarehouse. The first time we took them out was on peas and we set them up infront of the hide and shot 245 pigeons which was a good bag. I would recommend getting them. I was a little miffed to be honest as i have the Pinewood one that gives the wing movement of a landing bird, Which was what i thought i was bidding for as the picture & lititure was exactly that of the Pinewood website. It turned out to be an older model that imitates a flying bird with the wing movement up and down. Still i'm sure i can do somthing with it. All the best mate. Tis Oh and thanks for the advice.
