Warlock
Can someone help me with a dilema, Years ago i purchased some .22 air rifle ammo that i cannot find now as i don`t know what it`s called, it comes in 2 parts, the first part is a plastic split cup and the second bit is a copper bullett shaped projectile that fits inside the cup this assembly then gets loaded into the rifle and on firing plastic cup falls away to leave a very effective lump of copper. Can anyone help with what these things are called so i can track them down.

tosspot
These things? There is a seller on Evil Bay, these are collectable now and go for around £16 a tub. Mixed reveiws on them, plastic fouling rifling, cups getting caught up in silencers and general instability over range
MK38
I'm sure i've still got a tin laying around somewhere........ but i just can't find them at the moment . I'm sure they were called 'Sabo' or something.... used to use them in my old HW80.... they were ok but not great in my hands. For energy retention, i used to like the alloy 'Nato ' bullet, but some feared long term damage to the barrel as they were pretty hard. Have you tried one of the big airgun shops ..... they might carry them. Dave
SNAKEBITE
They have disapeared from most places simply because they were ****. A decent round nosed lead pellet from a reliable manufacturer is all you need. They were a waste of money, don't bother getting any more!!! Beardo
Sabo - stick to roundhead lead! If you want a hard hitter try Accupels or Powerpels
Big_Sam
The logun pellet seem to be jolly good at penetrating right through things.... shot a rat at 5 yards and it gutted it right through...
SNAKEBITE
The pellet shape has a lot to do with it. Are the Logun ones flat nosed? I am guessing they are, they come in a white plastic box, in a smaller quantity (250 off)?.
Big_Sam
The logun have a perfect hemi-spherical head (round). They appear to be made from a very tough alloy of lead and do ricochet a bit, but do a lot of damage to what ever you hit!
