George1990
Anyone tried this when there's been no pigeons about? Does an opened up pigeon bring them down or do the decoys frighten them off? Or any other tips ands tricks on magpie baiting. Getting a new air rifle you see Looking forward to long days in the hide. jonboy1
not tried baiting them, but i'll quite often stick a couple of maggy deeks out either in a hedgerow or to one side of my pigeon decoy pattern. Have baited for crows with dead rabbit, can't see why it would'nt work for maggys

George1990
Yeh, so the magpies won't be put off by loads of plastic pigeons, as we all know how clever they are. Not that I was thinking of baiting them in the pigeon pattern, but still. Worth a go innit
Shooting Tom
Out shooting rabbits once and left one on the track and sitting in barn when two crows landed like 10 yards from me, killed one with air gun. so you can play in crow with rabbits as well as ,magpies.
