I've a 996R, ST2 for touring and an old 750 Sport (not bevel) that needs restoring.

The "R" is a stonking bike, first of the new Testastretta engined Ducatis with sand cast crankases, all trick internals and the style inherited from the 916 (had one of those too).

Used to run an F2 sidecar outfit, now that was barking  :D:/

I ride this on holidays abroad, taken in Southern Spain.

Wink wink! ! ! oh ere misses, as mick would say (wabbitbosher) :sly::lol: bet the "L" plates don't get used anymore.

<Thinking>"Mmmm do miss my misses in bike leathers"<Stops thinking>

Talked to him the other day, said you went out for the day shooting, shame the birds didn't play ball

Did you ever get your legover the h2. AWESOME with the swingarm bending on the throttle, brings a shiver to me still

no but I did get to ride a mates susie gt 750 kettle the one with the roll tube instruments (r5) i think worth a bloody fortune now but at the time I thought it "horrible"

cheers Keith

It was known as the Kettle Kdubya. A dutch bloke called Nico Baker, I think, made a frame for it so you could ride it. Apparently it was the only stroker that would wheelspin out of the powerband. Is that true?

Very nice. Dont get me wrong , I do like the old plastic flying machines but after a few years living on deaths door, i prefer retro's cause you know when your doing 120 mph and your head a come off if you go to much more. I been to a few bike festivals in me time to. 500 grand prix's, Kent custom, Bulldod bashes, chopper club, motor cycle action rally's, world moto x rounds, enduro's, super bikes. long marsden drag bikes. love it.

but what ****** me off is theres to many cars on the road. its also difficult to carry me decks and gun and squibs. see no ones yet talked about Harley's or buells.

and your are totaly right it genral banter. speak freely my fello shooters.

whos got a 900 hornet for sale then for the right loot. me last one was a DR 400 enduro, went blasting the ridge way with a few mates for a couple of years. that was a great crack.

I have the better of the Italian twin... RSV Millie, only the std one with the chip and can (chip not fitted yet!!)

But looking to sell her this year, just not using her enough to warrant keeping her..

so if anyone is interested in a 2000 (reg 2001) millie with 5000 miles and in VGC, give me a shout...
