I just took my air rifle to the post office to post it to someone on here and was told it was too long to be posted by royal mail (i didnt tell them what was in it).

Im sure I read somewhere that parcelforce wont take them, does anybody know any couriers that will take them?

Cheers,

James

If you take the barrel and mechanism off the stock, you may be able to repack the gun within the Royal Mail's dimensions.

Well I took the barrel of the stock and re-packaged it, took it to a different post office and they accepted it :cry1:

Thanks for all your help lads :hmm:

The last time that I despatched an air-rifle to be tuned, I removed the stock (but only to save weight) and sent it, well bubblewrapped, via DHL for less than £5. That was because my daughter's company has a DHL account.
