Steve
Hi guys, not an opinion or recommendation but a request for advice. Mossberg do a rifled slug barrel for my shotgun that apparently gives 2" groups at 100yds. I'd so love to after charlie with one of those!! Are they legal in the UK or are they just an american thing??
Deako
Steve, I don't think they are legal for us, also I don't know if you've ever fired slug, but I can tell you that after 20 rounds the bruising and pain is incredible !.......avoid slug mate! BigDave15
Have seen many on Sites in the U.S.A they use them on deer out there and are nearly as acraute as a rifle as they look sort of like them with scopes on them. One of my dads mates fired a slug from a 10 Bore at a fox and was nearly crying from the kick afterwards! I agree with deako Have you had a go at foxs with shot size bb? it kills them clean
Steve
Asked the gundealer while buying cartridges today. Apparently, there's no reason why you can't have one, but once you put a rifled barrel on your shotgun it becomes a 12ga rifle! He's not aware of anyone in NI having had one granted yet. Oh well, it sounded like a good laugh.
