tony the tiger
can anyone help me, i've got the papers here for my FAC, the problem is that i was about to get a letter of permission from a farmer up in northumberland to shoot on his land, this will now not be the case as he's had a very bad stroke last week, shame cos he's a good bloke, the land was over 500 acres, so was ideal for me to apply for a .22 rimfire , .17HMR and a 223, my question is this, how do i apply for them now that i can't get the permission or proove he would give it due to his current situation, i can't put it down because the police will want to confirm this and he's in no fit state to do this... all advice would be greatfully received... tony the tiger... steve_b_wales
Is there anyone else on the farm who can verify that you would have had permission? Speak with your FLO if possible and explain the situation. Maybe he could help. Has the ground already been passed for the calibre/s you require? Lloyd90
Even with the letter they would of probally phoned him up to check that you had permission, try explaining to your FEO. You could ask family for a letter but don't want to be up there too soon
tony the tiger
The land owner is a mate of a mate, nd quite rightly i don't want to bother them at this time... i rang the local fire arms section who told me that without the letter of permission and speaking to the land owner in person i would not be considered for a FAC... anyone know of any land owners who would give permission, who are registered for shooting on the land they have... i live in sunderland but will travel upto 80 miles for permissions...
