dodeer
Seriously looking at buying one of these simulated game trailers, the one with 3 traps on. I have requested brochures from both companies so cannot yet compare prices but has anyone any experience of which make offers better performance etc etc? Has anyone actually used one, good bad etc.
libs
With auto traps in general, pro-matic produce a better trap. My ground has over 100 pro-matic traps which work all year round with the occasional spray of grease. They are mechaincally superior but as with anything, the electrics will fail first. Emmsy
electrics on the promatic standard stuff is pretty pants. bowmans are a good strong trap. the cast promatics are probably best of the bunch.
clayman
I've had Bowmans since the first pedal traps for Stanhill Claysports back in 1989. I've sold some of these for good money still running after16 yrs use, and aside from grease, rubber and bearings, no other breakdowns I've been to the factory, and Andrew is a founder and does his own castings, everything built with profiled CNC and to engineering standards. Electrics are British and easy to replace and understand. While Promatics are the big name, and have the edge on price, Bowman are a serious contender and you will be impressed by their engineering quality. targetmaster
i've had no experiance of Bowman, however i would reccomend the promatic huntsman unit for ease of use and quality. works for longer on 110 amp batteries. its a bit heavy to manouver for one person. and the radio release can be modified to work with a claymate system
