barrie0
Does anyone have any experience etc with the GAMO CFX , as I am tempted to get back into the airgun scene and this seems to be very good value for money . And does anyone know the rough value of a .22 Bsa Scorpion air pistol as I have one knocking about somewhere and read that they are collectable I think it is in quite good nick but will have to find it first ! . dunganick
my friend just got a cfxand it is a good airgun for the price, and it built very well, however the trigger is not so great, it is the only thing that lets it down if you cant afford a tx then i reacon its a pretty good buy, just dont expect an amazing trigger
barrie0
Thanks Dunganick is the trigger bad on all Gamo's or just that model ?

Tyke
Hi I can recommend the CFX as I had one until fairly recently. The ABS version is light weight and accurate and the trigger is a lot better than most budget priced springers I have used.
Gareth0689
I have just bought a a gamo shadow 1000 , for the price its a reasonable gun, I am guessing it is the same trigger as on the cfx. I would say it is like the trigger on the BSA meteor MK6. Edited April 1, 2005 by Gareth0689
barrie0
Cheers guys , I bought one last week and for the money it is a good air rifle ,accurate and powerfull , The second stage of the trigger takes a bit of getting used to but once I had that sussed its a cracker . Only using it for close range in the woods and a bit of plinking but was still hitting bottle tops etc at 40 yds ! . Btw Tyke what pellets did you find that best suited the cfx , as at the moment I am using Rws hobby and have around 700 left . But it would save me the hassle of trying different brands out . Tyke
Hi Mate When I get a new gun I normally get a Pellpax set to try out all the available pellets but I always come back to Air Arms Diablo’s.
dunganick
strangely enough my friend has found hobby 500's to be the best, they dont like accupel throwing them all over the place, and other domes are even worse
