polester
Can any one explain to me what the diffrence is between the lee auto prime shell holder and the one for presses. I'm guessing the one in press is heaver duty. I'm a bit confused and don't want to buy 2 holders if the one for presses fits in the auto prime. Thanks
Andy H
You can buy a Lee shellholder set and they fit both the auto prime 2 and nearly of all other reloading presses. Edited April 2, 2009 by Andy H
mr smith
As far as i can remember they are not interchangable, the one for the press has a grooved bit to fit into the press ram where as the auto prime ones are flat bottomed as it just slips into auto prime.Hope this makes sense if not i sure someone will come along and explain it better. Andy H
The lee auto prime and auto prime 2 are different , The auto prime is a hand held priming tool and the shell holders will not fit anything else but the auto prime 2 shell holders will fit almost any reloading press ,If you get a shell holder kit the green boxed kit is universal and fits reloading presses but the red boxed kit will only fit the lee auto prime . Have a look at this link. http://www.leeprecision.com/cgi/catalog/br...g/primtool.html
