mikee
as a wanna be stalker at hopefully some point in the near future, it ocured to me that having shot a beast and then butchering it how do you get rid of the remains, legs, head and skeleton, i do not have access to somewhere to bury it, if that's even legal, with pigeon remains i just double bag and pop into the wheelie bin but i cant imagine the bin man would be too happy to find a set of antlers poking out of the bin, how do you other guys dispose of the remains of a deer mikee
Cranfield
I don't shoot deer, but often have fair quantities of pigeon carcases, and inedible vermin to dispose of. I take them bagged to my local Council Tip (too many for the wheelie bin and a 2 week collection causes smells). Also, make discreet enquiries and you might find that some of your local landowners (especially livestock farmers) have a "stink pit", where such items can be deposited and covered over with earth from time to time. mikee
cheers cranfield, didnt think the tip would take such waste but i guess if its bagged they wont know what it is, i was going to ask the local butcher if i could put them with his waste bones etc, not many livestock farmers around here but thanks for the reply mikee
Cranfield
You are permitted to take carcase waste to your Council Tip (well you are in Kent), it goes in the Landfill Skip. I should also mention that "stink pits" may be a thing of the past in most areas,as they are probably no longer judged to be environmentally friendly. Harnser
mikee , The only meat you are going to take home is what you are going to eat . Every thing else as far as i am concerned is buried on the farm . Harnser .
