Kron
I was out today and ran into a bit of a conundrum. It was only my fifth outing and I understand the principle of facing the decoy pattern into the wind. However.... What do you do when there isn't any wind or the wind is gusting lightly from different alternating directions? Thanks in advance K
CZ550Kevlar
Yes this is a tricky one, two ways of approaching it, you either observe the pigeons flighting and see if there is a trend in the direction they land, or you set your decoys and hope that they want to take, if they are going to be interested then they will circle round to adjust the landing direction. Cranfield
I never have my decoys facing directly into the wind like a row of soldiers. It seems more realistic to have some of them angled to the wind. My setup tends to have the decoys facing away from the general area I want the incoming pigeons to land in (the spot where I shoot them).
