chandelierman
ok,i bought this for my daughter a couple of weeks back "new from ebay" for £360 it is the latest White 3g 16gb iPhone,i then bought genuine apple headphones for another £60 so now it owes me £420......anyways to cut a long story short the little darling has systermaticly stolen over £750 from me in the last 8 weeks so i have reposssed the iphone and selling it to recoup some of the £750 ( the rest will be deducted from her pay packet ) At the moment it is full of her photos and music etc etc and i don't know how to delete it so i have to wait untill i see her again which might be wednesday so that she can delete the stuff herself. It is unlocked for any network and comes boxed with the charger / usb thing I will take £330 for it (inc special del) if anyone wants it on here.........i have also just listed it on ebay NOW SOLD TO MUNGLER Edited April 18, 2009 by chandelierman
Mungler
What's with these on ebay as "unlocked"? What's the score on getting it working, do you just put your existing sim card in and off you go or do you need a contract? yours, a technophobe who is struggling to think of something for his missus' birthday
ph5172
If its unlocked you should just be able to put your (any network) existing sim card in and call away (operatores usally lock the phones to their network, ie Orage would only work with an orange sim)
chandelierman
The Apple iPhone is only made to be used on the O2 network, but it has been unlocked which means it will take any network sim card ( apart from 3 ) you can use a Pay as you go sim or if you have a contract sim then you can use that aswell. Mungler
Alan, top bloke and everything as it should be. Cracking bit of kit BTW. It's taken all weekend to work it out and get it all singing. Very clever. I want one now.

chandelierman
If you want one for yourself then make sure you get the 3g 16gb model ( the white one that you have is a ltd edition ) don't get the old model......the later ones are faster and have much better battery life, the only problem that you might have is with the bluetooth connection? the 1st generation iphones were incompatible with anything other than Apple stuff and even that was hit and miss,my daughter never said anything about the bluetooth on 3g model,as you are using it on O2 then you can download the latest upgrades without worring about it locking back on to O2.
