Beechessam
Does anyone have any information on this dog? Is he still alive, if so where is he located and does he still stand at stud? Cheers
MC
Have you looked in the shooting times, I am sure there is an advert in the back. I will dig out a copy and have a look.
Beechessam
Yes, but I have never seen an ad for him in the ST or Shooting Gazette. But if anyone can find one I would be very grateful. Cheers
gdunc
The old method of going to the sire of a good dog is well founded so if you can't get hold of Sker (I think his owner may be in Ireland) you can still use his sire - Openshaw's Clarburgh Art. Both dogs have sired some absolutely cracking springers

Beechessam
Thanks for the replies, there are many good and excellent dogs out there but I am only interested in Sker at the moment. Gundogs.nu is an excellent site but sadly does not show owners or location of stud dogs or even if they are available at stud.

gdunc
There are only two Springer FTCH dogs in Scotland and Sker is not one of them. Where & how did you find him eventually, if you don't mind me asking?
Beechessam
He is in Somerset, a bit of research and then a friend of a friend confirmed the details.
gdunc
Cool, good that you found him after all. He seems a great stud - good luck with the proposed covering
Beechessam
Well the deed has been done, so I am now waiting with fingers crossed. I am very excited about this mating and given the Dams traits this mating should produce some excellent dogs.
