dr_nick
I went to my local gun emporium yesterday with the idea of picking up a cheap .177 lightening combo. I came out with a very nice TX200 since they recommended this gun as being far superior to everything else they had on offer. It ways a ton but shoots very well and is in a legue of its own as far as quality goes. It seems very accurate though because of the weight its much harder to shoot than the stealth (5.5 lbs compared to 9.5lbs). Power is very good and seems to be in excess of the stealth. Its very quiet and has a nice "real" feel to the firing cycle. Overall I'm very happy but my back and arms hurt, I'm going to have arms like a gorilla before long. rb5037
For those, like me, that didn't know what a TX200 looks like. (guess i'm right)

wacker
A very good gun, i started with one, it was a true l/h HC in .177, i sold it a couple of years back-and now wish i hadn't!!!!!!!!
dr_nick
Well I've been playing with it for a while now and the accuracy is so good i'm going to trade the stealth in. Whilst with the tx200 I am getting single hole groupings, with the stealth I am getting them landing in a 1 inch group (even at modest ranges. Next Friday I get to shoot at the club for a real test. Still I am that dissapointed with the stealth that I just want rid of it. I mean a springer out shooting a PCP I thought about an s400 or a hornet. roblade
unfortunatly you comparing one of the best spring rifles against what is more than likly to be the worst 12F/lb PCP rifle the stealth can be made into one of the better rifles oi know as mine is and have seen s3everal that have been tweeked and tuned and barley resemlbe a stealth any more LOL one evenm looks mopre like a barret .50 LOL one of the simplest rifles ever made and in my opinion one of the moist fun rifles out to date and with close to 500 shots per charge a good weekend away rifle with no need for pumps or bottles there are a couple of stealth forums and i think there is a site dedicated to stealth tuning. If your thinking about going FAC i have heard that they are a very nice rifle due to them being desinged in the states i think they are called the airforce tallon (or something similar) and once you get over 20F/lbs they are a very nice rifle indeed and you still get a good days shots from a single charge and yes i can comparer the TX200 and stealth fairly as i have one of both as well, though im a little on the lucky side as my stealth shoots pretty well now and the TX MK1 is pretty damn good hope this helps you out a little ROB PS rb yes that does look somewhat like a TX200 though its a MK2 with a custom stock wish mine looked that nice
Fisherman Mike
unfortunatly you comparing one of the best spring rifles against what is more than likly to be the worst 12F/lb PCP rifle Rob do you mean the Hornet....or the Stealth Do you not rate the gun ? Paul in North Lincs.
Good choice........... the TX is probably one of the best spring rilfles about. I've used the TX200 hunter cabine for many years now, and find that its accuracy and reliability is unquestionable. Air Arms quality engineering at its best. roblade
FM was comparing it to the stealth a great idea just a bad design for the UK market i would have to give the stealth about 5/10, looks good many shots per charge but the average user will find it not too nice to shoot and even with the silencer on the end it is still a little on the noisey side you can spend money on them (or do the work yourself) and make them quieter smoother and generaly a lot nicer rifle. but out of the box i have to say i would be very disapointed with both the rifle and the after sales service from gunpower but having said that there is no way i would ever think about getting rid of mine ROB

dr_nick
Interesting about the tuning, any links to a site? Still the stealth actually gets lots of postive feedback from people for its looks. Though it is uncomfortable to do target shooting with. I just wish it would shoot consistantly. dr_nick
Little update. I let one of the young lads have a go with the stealth at the club. He happens to be the local under 18 champ. He got sub fingernail groups at 25yrds. Guess its not the gun thats the problem
