apbuild
Just seen on our local news that a farmer has had twenty or so young lambs shot by a 'sniper'. Apparently the 'sniper' used an air rifle from a nearby lay-by to shoot the lambs. The entry wounds on the carcasses looked a hell of a lot bigger than that of an air rifle pellet. I would have said it was a centrefire round! How evil and despicable can somebody be to shoot and murder these animals for a spot of target practice? I hope they are caught and punished accordingly. Makes me feel sick! Rob. :< :<
Hunter Gatherer
It would have to be point blank for an air rifle round to kill a sheep! How can you call that sniping.
Devilishdave
Nah you could take lambs at 40m easy with a .177 not speaking from experiance just from what I know from shooting hares with head shots at that range having exit wounds as well. The perpetrator of this crime needs to do time if they are ever caught. Dave
apbuild
These were not head shots Dave! They were body shots, (so not much accuracy needed by the **** that did it), and an air gun pellet would never have left such a big wound! Rob. old rooster
Bound to be holding the gun they used legally aren't they ? Another blow for the sane, law abiding gun owners.
