reddan
I know I keep asking lots of questions about the same gun but how do I find out what grade my Browning 325 is? I have searched this forum and the internet and can't find much info. Dan
poontang
Difficult to say without seeing a pic. I think they only made them in grades 1,5 and 6. What does the action look like on your gun? If it's plain with the word Browning engraved on it, my guess is it's a grade 1. If the engraving is quite intricate and the timber is of high quality it's likely to be a grade 5 or 6. Difficult to say without seeing it though. How much did you pay for it? Grade 1's go for £600-£800 grade 5/6's go for considerably more!! springerman
Look on www.guntrader.co.uk They have all three grades for sale and have pictures of the guns, more importantly their actions/engraving. Compare yours to those pictures and you will have your answer. Peter
Gordon R
Turn it over. It used to be engraved underneath the action. I was sold a Browning 425 grade 1, which turned out to be a 325 grade 2, many years ago by a North West gun shop. It was my first Browning and I didn't examine it thoroughly enough - just accepted what was on the ticket.
reddan
Thanks for your replies. I noticed on guntrader that there also are grade 2s listed. After comparing the photos i think it is a grade 2. I paid £600 for it. It does have engraving underneath. swift4me
To put the whole thing to bed, you can email the serial number to Browning and they will tell you everything. Edited May 13, 2009 by swift4me
