nhamm2
Well, I have my new dog safely installed in my new kennel, which was made from Reeves-sourced steel bars and the rest by a local chippy. I am very pleased with it, but wanted your advice on the pop hole, which is currently just a wooden hole. The dog is obviously fine in this weather, but I'm wondering whether I should have a door of some sort fitted for the colder months so the draft can be shut out? Obviously this will prevent him accessing his run until let out, but wondered what your thoughts would be. Thanks in advance for any help. BTW, you can see pics of the handsome fella at my blog, listed below

pavman
they normally rip the doors off, I have another pop hole at 90 deg inside to stop drafts of wind and they are happy with that, it kind of forms a hallway if you get my drift? gdunc
I've used polythene sheets to make a sort of butchers curtain on the entrance to the kennel and my dogs have only had minor chews at them. Wouldn't work if you have a big time chewer though! I also have a seperate hole away from the kennel entrance similar to the above.
