webber
I've just returned home from work, and as usual awaiting my undivided attention is my copy of this weeks Shooting Times. I always flick through before settling down, in doing so I spotted a face that I recognised, and I have yet to read the article. I know that Jerry is not the first PW member to feature in the sporting press, lets hope that his good work in protecting the Red Squirrel continues, and that the article will encourage others to increase their efforts to erradicate the Grey Squirrel. webber

sooty 54
I would second that Jerry is doing a great job ,and is also a top bloke he has helped me a lot over the years .What we really need is more people like Jerry , and more volunteers to go out trapping Greys + trying to educate the general public , If this doesn't happen the Red Squirrel will become extinct in this country , which would be a real tragedy as i'm sure you would agree . We owe it to our children and grand children to do all we can to stop this happening .This is why i would ask all p.w members wherever you are , but particulary in Cumbria + SW Scotland to get involved. PLEASE . If you p.m me your details i will put you in touch with the right people to help us save the Red Squirrel .Thank you
happyhunt
if you look on the map showing areas where reds and greys are ,it shows an area on the west coast between wokington and egremont that dont contain either, this is incorrect as we have many red squirrels and increasing numbers of greys , there are even red squirrels in whitehaven town centre, don't know where they get they info from ?? Ahh, whitehaven - there's a town I used to know well. Maybe hours spent in the Three tuns. (I used to work on the tallships that visted there for the martime festivles in 07-08, and that time the queen was there, too)
