  2. if its a manufactured trailer like Ifor williams etc then maybe ,but this is a one off, it was made at a local engineering firm to my drawings so no id tags regd and is under the permited axle weight so it does not need brakes. have a look at the item ebay and it is self explanitary.
  3. why would it need a vin plate and paper work

  5. the only alarm which bugs me on the hilux , is the seatbeat undone one, which is easy sorted with a seat belt clip from the scrap yard, if your in and out of the car all the time ,like when rabbiting, just stick the spare clip into the holder, job done. apart from that that ,best pickup going, by a long way.
  6. I have an 07 plate hilux twin cab and its fantastic, loads of room , performance, economy, 500 miles on £70, mines a 2.5 t/d the 3.0 models are a bit thirstier, and will go anyway with good tyres on. you won't get a new shape one for your budget, but the early models are just as capable.
  7. thankfully we were missed by the major floods,3 mile away, but the place is a disaster zone, the police man was well known and a nice guy,a real shame. all bridges are being surveyed all the time, the last bridge in workington has just been written off,its dropped 12" from the road so can't be used any more. that means the last bridge near cockermouth is the only route east/west,and that has been closed for days, if it fails to reopen then its a 3-4 hour detour via carlisle the M6/penrith. missed a days shooting on sat due to the road being under water at holmrook, south cumbria ,at the moment we are still landlocked, but thats nothing compared to what some people have /are going through at the moment. the icing on the cake is that its still raining and is forecast to continue well into the week, me thinks the army will have to be called in to erect temporary bridges other wise this place is going to turn into a refugee camp very quickly wet soggy ***** all round, poo
  8. just bought a 07 hilux after showing the navara and mitso the door , too many problems with them, everyone I have talked to rates the new hilux has one of the best made, and so far I can't complain, good fuel econonomy, space, handling, top marks
  9. gordon R, ..... this is what happens when you give your opinion when someone asks about something, some people cant except it,so they try to make it personal and start name calling,so its apt to respond in a manner they understand, sad really, they really should try to get out more . B)
  10. mpt1, if you thought that was a good deal you must be in the trade yourselve posing as **** turpin or a complete d@@khead. I go for complete d@@khead.
  11. fair play to you lads, but has far as I am concerned they tried to steal my guns ,in the phone conversation that took place they new what I had, what condition and what price I was looking for give or take ,if I had went along with what they were offering I would have lost a fortune. I wasn't desperate to sell but imagine a guy going in and had to sell them for whatever reason, he would have walked out feeling mugged and called them thieves as well . I am all for people making a living but what they offered is taking the p@@@.I dare say there is a story like this one attached to every gun shop in the land. Its not the first and will not be the last. regards happy
  12. hi stiv, you are quite right in what you say, everyone has off days, however the reason I called them thieves was, that I like you had telephoned them about trading some guns in for a new rifle, over the phone they were very enthusiastic and confidant we could do a deal when I told them what I had to trade,. When I got there after 2 hours driving the story was different. I offered 1@ rem 700 .243 with lam stock / heavy barrel in very clean condition, 1@ cz .223 with scope / moderater / mag / sling, very clean condition, and 1@ very rare 16 bore beretta hammer gun, cira @ 1930 's which is very clean and shootable. The beretta alone has been valued at £1000 trade price.I was expecting about £300/350 for the rem and about the same for the cz, that means about £1700 total against a new sako st/syn .243 and scope. I wouldn't have minded putting a few quid into the pot to make the deal, but I was offered £150 for the beretta reason being they are unsellable, £150 for the remy and £150 for the full set up cz, making a grand total of £450 for the three. That meant that I would have given them 3 @ guns + about £1000 or more cash . I used to be in the gun trade so I would'nt have offered them a load of **** and I know what they were worth,. It all adds up to a very very good deal for them and a very bad deal for me, as you could imagine I did not take the deal. Bear in mind that this was 18 months ago when gun sales were very bouyant and fetching very good prices, I haven't been back to the shop and probably never will, first impressions and all that. judging by the coments on the forum, they have a few happy customers so good luck to anyone who go's there, but its not for me. regards happy
  13. Didn't realise I was under interegation ,don't take it personally , like I said thats my opinion, like me, you can please yourselve where you shop. The reasons I called them theives are nothing to do with you or anyone else, either except it or don't .
  14. the guy asked for opinions about this shop, I gave him mine, and will stick to it,every gun shop in the land has good and bad things said about them, malmos is no exception. whats with the lancaster and fawcetts thing ??, who mentioned them
  15. WGD yes an oversight by me not to ensure we were paying the gas bill, ( which we thought we were )but when we first set it up it was a joint bill and some where in the past 16 months it has changed with us not realising it. I know I get sick of reading bills when they come in, I usally just check the amount and put it in the draw, maybe I am living in the dark ages when it comes to these sort of bills but £200 +a month is blatent theft for gas + electric as far as I am concerned. these power companies will show billions of pounds profit which proves they are overcharging us ,wholesale gas price went up more than 50% last year and they passed that cost straight on to us, when the price fell back to normal levels early this year, what did the power companies reduce it by ........ 3-4% I will certainly not shirk my responsibility to pay the bill, I am only asking for advice in what direction I should go , the bill will not be payed until it is confirmed that the amount is correct, once this is established it will be paid the same day. MOSSY 835 thats not a bad idea :yp:
  16. thanks for that, I have let the wife talk to them otherwise I would have a coronory,we will contact cit/adv and gas watch dog on tuesday about the situation. with the total d/d added up it works out about £217 a month for both, which they say we should be paying to cover the bills, this seems very excessive, there is only 2 of use in the house and we both work all day. on top of this they have sent us a new electricy statement saying the new payment will be .....£4 a month, somethings not right here. I fear it could be a lean shooting season if I do have to pay out such a large sum.
  17. just been informed by scottish gas that the £90 d/d I was paying a month was for electric only and not gas, the d/d was set up to cover both, that was 16 months ago, new bill arrived yesterday for £1200 , they have very kindly reduced the bill to only last 12 months payments. anybody else have any experiances like this and what(if any ) are my legal options, they have said its all there fault and its been a clerical error, yet they have still come and read the meter every 3 months. bunch of @@@@ :yp:
  18. straight shooter 1 organizes trips tp croatia , very cheap compared to other places, (£500 compared to £1500 with basswood etc) we went in april and it was excellent , shooting, food, digs, great crack, me and the lads are going back next year www.balkanhuntingtours. com
