shoughton
I bought a new Lanber Sporter back in March when I first got my certificate and have been very pleased with it. After having some tuition I was advised to use a leather stock extension for the gun to fit me properly. Over a few weeks we tried different sizes and I've finished up with 1.5" of extension. I want to get this extended properly now and asked my local gunsmith (a good chap - Leech and Son in Boreham, Chelmsford, Essex) and he quoted me between £80 and £100. This would be for an extension made from the black material (I forget what he said it was called) and a new brown recoil pad. Seem reasonable? Any other suggestions? Anbody tried this DIY? MC
Bring it to Mersea and give it to Jim Spalding, you will get a first rate job for not much money. I wouldn't give a gun to anyone else to work on. PM me if you want details.
Peter De La Mare
Try a GraCoil extender. I used a GraCoil recoil system to get the extra lenght I needed, plus there is a recoil reducer feature there should I need it.
