Legal side of selling

I think what you're asking is how to go about selling a centerfire rifle from one individual to another. Pretty simple really.

He has a gun to sell, you have a slot for said gun on your certificate. You meet each other, inspect rifle, agree price. Once you've agreed, then he writes on your ticket in the boxes provided. He'll need to fill in all the info such as his name and addy, his cert number, the rifle make, model, number, type, caliber, etc. He will likely be giving you his old ammo too, so he'll have to fill in the same boxes on the next page for ammo.

Also, you should have notification forms for your local FLD. It will be the same info required, names, addresses, cert numbers and firearm details. You'll both have a copy of the same and send them to your local forces (both of you) within 7 days.

Thanks,

Rick

All i would add ,is that you are required by law to identify each other from pictures on certificates .

If any doubt whatso ever do not go ahead .
