Yorkshire Pudding
ok here goes. are all actions, stocks, barrels etc standard with in a range? and you just pay for the finish ? if so why don't gun makers do a plain gun ie no engraving no lovely deep walnut stock. This would make the sport more accessable. therefore driving gun prices down, and not so much "anti" type resistance. i.e. "been fishing have you" "been shooting have 2you ? all the best
Cranfield
I think that Gunmakers use to do this once (perhaps some still do). I remember a friend buying a shotgun (manufacturer ?) and having to finish off the woodwork himself, ie. sanding ,staining, polishing etc. AYA,s Yeoman is a basic version of their better guns. everygoodnamewastaken
My dad has a yeomen It's very plain with no engraving on it He's shot everything from Crows to Geese. It's not the price of the gun its the person behind it! And engravings just more for me to clean! :what:
Malc
I think gun prices are extortionate. I paid £75 for an OU a few months back, I was depressed for weeks after blowing all that much. The kids were hungry too!
