Wookie
We've just found out that our 9 week old Cocker pup (Ralph) likes tea. Mrs. Wookie left a half cup on the side for just a few seconds and the little begger sniffed, licked, then shoved his face into the cup and started drinking. We had to drag him away from the cup. So, apart from the obvious weeing and [probably] staying awake longer, is having a tea-addicted puppy a bad thing for his health? Strangely, Ted the Springer doesn't like tea and never has. WGD
Can't think the caffiene's much good for his kidneys but don't know really.
garyb
My vet friend always told me NOT to let them drink tea, even though they seem to lap it up... Caffeine and the fact that a lot of dogs are lactose intolerant (milk) is a bad mix

Wookie
Well, after a night of being woken up every two hours by the little sod, mucho wee and two lovely poos this morning (both runny), I can see us taking a lot more care about where we leave the cups. Not a fun experience, even if he does like it. I kept hoping he would get a come-down and sleep, but it did not happen. He's now fighting Ted for ownership of his rope toy. Windy
our old working springer (RIP) used to have a warm bowl of tea on shoot mornings, she loved it. She lived to 11yrs with no problems.
