Zapp
I went out yesterday after re-reading this thread and bought a lidl mincer I've just minced just over a kilo of rabbit meat (hind legs and saddles, the remainder will slow cook overnight and be frozen for game pie fillings for later in the year ). Tomorrow I'll be getting some pork belly, mincing it in and making bunny burgers. I'm going to give the sausage filling attachment a go once I have sourced some casings. Cant wait! Zapp
I read the attachments can put a lot of air pockets into the sausage so I ordered a manual stuffer from Bushwear, got the same mincer as yourself Waiting for all my bits to arrive before I can go a shooting. Ah, ok. I can see how that might happen. I'll have a bash and see how it goes. Thanks for the link H, that site could seriously dent my wallet! Zapp
Bunny burgers for tea tonight for the first time: 1kg rabbit leg and saddle meat (minced) 250g Pork belly (minced) 1 large onion, chopped fine and then minced in 2 tsp salt 1 tbsp white pepper 15 sage leaves Bunch of rosemary Served with tomato relish or mustard mayo (1 part english mustard to 3 parts mayo). A big hit with the kids and the wife! The boys watched me cooking them on the griddle and said I was just like Spongebob... This lead the wife to say they were "crappy patties", but in the end we settled on "Daddy patties". V nice, will be doing them regularly. Thank god for the lidl mincer!
