Sussexboy
Has anybody tried these scopes from South Yorkshire Shooting Supplies? If so, how do they compare with Bushnell, Burris etc Cheers Paul
casts_by_fly
to my eyes, Barska are one of the cloudiest scopes on the market. I wouldn't put one on my gun, regardless of price or cartridge. Thanks, Rick
Steel100
Roger recently supplied me with a 'cheap 'n cheerful' Barska. The Huntmaster Pro 3 - 12 x 50IR, which I've put on to a .22rf CZ 452. Actually, I'm pretty amazed by what can be done, so cheaply. My experience has been with camera glass - Pentax, Nikon and Leica and 'scopes - Swarovski, Schmidt, Pecar, Weaver (El Paso), Carl Zeiss and Simmons - and now Barska. I cannot say how the Barska will hold up physically - far too early to tell. It does seem to stay zeroed across the full mag. range without any movement. Downside - when I change the magnification I also have to adjust the eyepiece to bring the reticle back into proper focus - I've not experienced that before but I would not claim to have any great experience with 'scopes. The Simmons which cost a lot more, physically fell apart after about a year of light usage. Obviously, you cannot compare the Barska with a Leupold or S&B. Ask me again, in a year's time!
