Raja Clavata
Purchased my first bit of "proper" glass today after finding both a Hawke (on .22lr) and Nighteater (on .17HMR) both falling well short of my expectations. So now a very happy owner of a 30mm S&B 8 x 56 Had a play with it tonight, including in failing light, on the .17HMR in the back garden and have to say that first impressions are very very impressive Was able to pick up amazing detail on various objects that with the other two scopes would have been completely lost. Anyway, anyone with such scopes will know what I'm on about but the real purpose of this post is to acknowledge the info from various folks on here about the import of a decent bit of glass; cheers guys you've saved me quite a few quid that I would most likely have wasted taking longer getting to where I now am with a trail of discarded scopes along the way. Very much appreciated

Paul.L
Pigeon master . There is nothing in Raja,s post that suggests he let rip in the garden as you put it ! you need to read the post properly before getting your big stirrer out .
