MartinP
Gamekeeper friends got his birds on Saturday and on checking and feeding on sunday, we discovered 10 had died. Probably down to very wet night and a bit cold. 5 of the 10 birds had been got at by something as they had their heads removed, cleanly gone and no traces of them anywhere. any ideas what may have done this. thanks

rimfire4969
Sounds like fox to me, birds of prey normally eat away the breast area. If it is fox i expect that there were more dead then you believe, they usally take away a bird or two for food and leave the rest for another time. I would leave a couple of the dead birds and a have stake out with my gun waiting for the culprit to come back.
