mikee
Ive been up a few times and mostly access to the shore is unrestricted and the shooting is free, some areas of shore are nature reserves and a permit is required, generally from the local council but still free. eric begbie or mark robson will give you the low down as they are locals, hope this helps mikee

Pinkfooty
Hi. You'll find quite a lot of information here: http://www.scottish-wildfowling.org.uk For those areas of the Scottish foreshore that require permits, phone BASC and ask them to send you a copy of this year's Wildfowling Permit booklet that has just been published. It lists all the permits schemes (including those in England and Wales) and is available free to members.
