Nel
Anyone use them, what for & are they really worth almost double the price?
ShropshireJohn
Fox & Geese at a guess. Just a more powerful cartridge, longer than your standard 65/67.5/70mm Jobbys
MadMatt1979
I use them for the Geese. Worth the extra cost, but having said that I tend to stick to Hevi-shot (£1.90 a go!).

Nel
At what sort of range is it acceptable to hit fox/goose for a kill?
Hunting_Bunnies
Use 3" No. 5's for rabbits. With 3/4 choke have one hell of a range provided the bunnies are sat still. H_B Edited July 25, 2009 by Hunting_Bunnies
chrispti
At what sort of range is it acceptable to hit fox/goose for a kill? For geese. Most will say 30 yrds, but it depends on your skill and what ammunition you are using. Anything over 30yrds and I would only use a minimum of a 3" cartridge in shot size 2 or BB, either Hevi Shot or better still Remington Wingmaster HD (an awesome cartridge )
YorkshirePurdey
Someone has been shooting them at my clay ground, 3" 50gram jobbies, sounds a bloody expensive way to brak a few clays, massive overkill!
