Evilv
Hi, I've just registered having just bought an airgun after thirty odd years either not shooting, using .22 LR or .22 magnum, or 12 bore for rabbit shooting. I've just bought a nice condition .22, Airarms TX200. The gunsmith says it has been chrono tested at 11.6 ft pounds. What kind of trajectory should I expect if it is zeroed at 35 yards? How low would I be aiming at 25 yards and how high at 45? I'm asking, because I can't get to shoot it for a day or two, but itching to blast some rabbits at the farm. Thanks - please point me to a thread if there's been one already. Edited May 31, 2005 by Evilv

Evilv
Thanks Rimmer. I'll have to shoot the thing to work on that. That's obviously the best thing anyway, but I can't until tomorrow. I'll take a sheet of hardboard and some printer paper marked up as targets, and see how I get on. If it's 11.6 ft pounds with a 1 gram pellet (1.069gram) about 16 grains, the fps should be about 575 at the muzzle... It'll be pretty curvy, so I'll need to make careful judgements on the target distance. Cheers.
kdubya
http://www.chairgun.com/ it will give you a programme that will show you your trajectory for a given zero distance and a given weight of pellet cheers KW
