dazza
Started off as a non profit organization. Mark Elliott must be a millionaire by now with all those fivers and tenners he's raking in.
grouse2008
Mark Elliott is doing far more important work with "Help for heroes" these days, raising money to help our injured and maimed troops get rehabilitated in the community. Blunderbuss
Started off as a non profit organization. Maybe he should donate all the money NOBS or the book your doing your best to advertise makes You seem to have a bit of an axe to grind? I've found loads of beating via NOBs, and a fiver membership is nothing. I don't care if he does make some money from it, its a brilliant idea and provides an excellent service - to beaters and shoots. I actually doubt that with the website overheads, game fair pitch fees and admin costs that he's making much, if anything, but if he is - good luck to him. Help for heroes is a separate issue, why should he give all the money he makes (if any) from NOBs? Do you give ALL the money you make to charity? HFH is also a superb charity which is making a real difference, that Mark Elliot is a driving force in this as well as NOBs, just shows he a pretty clever, and compassionate guy. And no, I don't know him!
grouse2008
I still belong to NOBS Forum but cant post or private message as I dont want to pay NOBS £5 for the pleasure. I joined PuBS Pickers up Beaters Shoots www.pubs.myfunforum.org and got all the beating and picking up i needed- but didnt have to pay a single penny and you dont even have to register either. I believe that they are running beaters courses on a shoot next season, including meals, refreshments and a brace of birds- and they are free too. Freedom of choice - pay or not pay- up to you
