J@mes
Any recommendations? I usually shoot in just a t-shirt and jeans, but after going to the gym yesterday and shooting a round today I can barely move my arm. My shooting dropped right off and eventually I packed up and left as I knew I wasn't mounting properly, which was making the problem worse! So, its about time I got myself a reasonable vest. Not too fussed about what make it is as long as the quality is pretty good - I don't want the zips falling off or the pockets splitting when full of shells. would like one that has plenty of padding on the shoulder but obviously not so much that it will interfere with the mount. What are you wearing?
hairyduck
I've a kreighoff one which is very good, next to no padding though. Most of the browning ones have a gel pad built in which may suit you more

What are you wearing? If you have been to the Gym and you are stiff from that, how will a vest help your shooting? Are you thinking that the pad on the shoulder will stop the pain? I would time your gym sessions so they do not co incide with your shooting. Cheers taz. .

Chard
I don't think a skeet vest will do much to reduce felt recoil. The best thing about skeet vests is the big pockets and the shoulder patch thing, which should be a leather one, which will stop the butt slipping when mounted. I don't mind shooting in a T shirt, but I find that the butt of the gun slips in my shoulder on the material, which is off-putting
