Gareth W
The Firearms officer is coming tomorrow to do my interview and look at my flat. Having spoken to her on the phone, I have not brought a cabinet until she has looked at where I am intending to put it. I dont think that will be a problem, if she asks where do I intend to keep my cartridges that might be a problem. I know they do not need to be locked away, so was thinking of storing them in a box out of sight, where do you guys keep yours? Im in a ground floor 2 bedroom flat. Cheers Gareth
hairyduck
Cartridges can be anywhere, out of sight is preffered of course. I doubt very much that they'll ask you were you're going to store your carts
jay222
just keep them out of sight and out of reach of children and you wont go too far wrong
cdb
Had my interview last week. He never mentioned cartidges. He was, however, happy that I'd bought and fitted my cabinet. Advice on this differs. Some people say fit it, some say wait for the FEO's advice. I think advice is generally agreed that unless you have any controversial factors to your application, you can go ahead and buy the cabinet before the interview. I asked the same question: http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=89460

mayfly36
Having fitted a cabinet before the visit would be a good start, it shows them your keen and thinking ahead, that plants the seed in their head to give the go ahead for your permit.
