Beardo
i'd like some bins for my birthday (so i can look out of the bedroom window at the fields and wish i was allowed out shooting). i've got a Nikon rangefinder at mo, so was thinking of selling it to go towards the bins. Now i see Leica and Zeiss do some very nice RF Binos, but they're £1500 or so. Bushnell seem to have done a pair in the past - but nobody stocks them now. Does anyone do a sub £800 pair? gixer1
Nick, I'm looking for the same thing and am leaning towards the Lieca ones at the moment......but they are pricey, don't think swaro do a variant and they all seem to be 10 x 42 or small sizes?? The cheapest price i have found is Uttings. Regards, Gixer
Beardo
aah just found they do the Bushnell ones - £499 (they're nearly half that price in the states!)
Dunkield
Don't disregard good quality secondhand, London Camera Exchange and others do pre-owned stuff
Crouch valley
a friend of mine bought a pair of leica 8x56 range finder binoculars at the cla game fair and they are superb. Im thinking of getting a pair myself now they are great when out stalking and working in low light. They are very easy to use.
Beardo
i'd love a pair by one of the top dogs - they're just way out of budget. found the Bushnells a bit cheaper http://www.microglobe.co.uk/catalog/produc...ular-waterproof
al4x
Interesting I've a contact who has a camera shop and can get stuff at trade rates I'll see if he can get any range finding binoculars as I could do with a set and built in range finder sounds ideal. I'll post back if I can sort anything

Beardo
couldn't find any second hand pairs - so got the Bushnells in the end. nice clear glass and rugged construction - the rangfinder works well, but slightly annoying layout in the display (it takes a fair bit of room at bottom on the right hand lens.) good value for money overall. and Henry D has nabbed my Nikon 440 so that's a nice bit of money towards them Also noticed the invoice just said optical equipment - so i can claim that back on the company Edited September 7, 2009 by nickbeardo
