soontjen
what's the differance between them ? what's the recoil like ?
vmaxphil
not sure of all differences but mostly changes to chokes 301 fixed 302 early multi-choke 303 modern mobil choke there is some overlap between models of course, as to recoil its as light as any gas auto depending on cartridge as they don't have a gas valve. also i think the barrels are all interchangeable throughout the 301 - 303 range so you might pick up something out of context. VicW
One of the biggest differences is in the multi-choke system. The earlier models,I think up to part way through the life of the 302, the chokes were plain tubes that fitted inside the muzzle and were held in place by an external locking collar. The Mobilchoke internal multi-choke system was then introduced. The guns are not very different to the current 391 series, the trigger mechanism is possibly identical. In my opinion the 303 was the best semi-auto Beretta made and still commands a good price. It will handle 28gm cartridges but is not happy with anything less without modification. Vic.
