Nial
When you accidentally pull the head off the first pigeon that lands in your decoy pattern, don't leave it lying there with all the associated neck band feathers. It will put _everyting_ else off from landing. I only noticed how bad it looked when packing up. Nial

Nial
ive done it I was out twice today. I got about an hour before the farmer started combining the field, there were few pigeons about but the two that I saw both came in to the decoys, and I got them both. When I set up this afternoon the first one came in after about 5 mins, this was the one I pulled the head off (and feathers). There wasn't much about but I had a few approach quite high then start to come in to the pattern but abort quite early. As I said it was only as I walked out to clean up that I realised it looked like a pigeon massacre with all the white feathers about. Live and learn I suppose, at least I convinced that tipp-exing the neck bands then painting over with UV paint has increased the 'pulling' power of my decoys. A floater is next on the list now. Nial.
