Skye is coming along nicely, only thing is she loves to play with other dogs maybe too much  With my mates Spaniel the dog is focused 100% on me whilst Skye spends every second trying to nip this poor spaniel's ears, whilst the dog is running through cover working Skye is clinging onto her ears and her scruff and wont leave the poor ****** alone.

She doesn't seem to settle at all, She listens quite good when just me n her but she wont when other dogs are about and she's off lead :good:

Just wondering if this is normal ? or is she just mad ? :P I feel sorry for the springer. No matter how much Skye does it the spaniel doesn't respond. With other dogs it gets too far n they snap to show her who's boss, she no longer does i to my neighbours dog lol

Skye is only a few months old isn't she? Give her time to be a pup and don't be rushing her, all she is doing is trying to play and be sociable, wee things like biting and mouthing will pass, let her enjoy her puppyhood and don't be in a rush to have her running with bigger older dogs just yet!!

Cheers guys :good: Im not pushing her too fast and wasn't working the spaniel at the time. The spaniel is focused on 100% work 100% of the time so even ona walk it works through the cover. I was walking them together as skye likes to play with other dogs and I love seeing her enjoying herself and burning off some energy, she sleeps lovely after playing with other dogs :good:

I was just a little concerned as all she did was nip this dogs ears haha :good: but it sounds like shes just being a pup and hopefully will stop that when she's older :P

Also I just felt sorry for the spaniel, most dogs get fed up n nip her to stop her but this spaniel is so nice it just focus' on me 100% whilst skye is shewing her ears off haha!

puppyhood, let skye enjoy it mate, but the biggest advice I could give you is make sure you are all her fun and it all comes from you, otherwise bad habits will come about, got ay images of her growing??

GOOD LUCK

Sound advice from RS

If she associates chasing other dogs with good times just now the unruly beggars you will encounter in the field will be a HUGE distraction. Socialise plenty, but keep the playing in a controlled environment and make sure the best fun for her is through you. Hope she's doing well mate.
