unclemicky
After Beretta Man put a post in the "shooting available" section and not having a permission myself , here was a good chance to put those skills learned at Worsley to the test , £40 a day dawn to dusk , My 2 mates Nick76 and Dave who don't have any pigeon gear were catered for with hides , rotary and decoys no extra cost , In fact James who is running the shoot could not do enough for us to ensure that we had the best possible day , James showed us where the flight lines were and left us to it , the inexperience did show as a flying pigeon is quite different to a clay and we missed quite a few with raised eyebrows, shaking heads and shrugging shoulders looking at each other and saying "HOW DID I MISS THAT" but even our cockeyed aim and pigeons with kevlar feathers could not dampen our enthusiasm as we were out in the field doing it so it's thanks to James for making it happen for us , Top Bloke Would I return , Oh yes as soon as that winter barley is cut in the next field
NICK76
Just to reiterate Unclemicky's feelings, i too, thoroughly and enjoyed myself and James was always on hand if we needed him. I can't wait wait for the next installment, and my first taste of pigeon shooting was what it should be, an absolute delight. Sinistercr0c
Myself and a mate have just been out with James Today. Everything was provided for in the price (£40 pp), and we had a fantastic six hours on the stubble (we could have shot dawn til dusk if we'd wanted). The wind was a real mare and the squally conditions meant we didn't get many over the decoys, but all the same it was great just to be out. Unclemicky had it right about that winter Barley two fields across from us. At one point in the afternoon it must have had 500+ birds on it. They all went up at once after the bird scarer (I asume) went off, and provided a few for us. Get lucky with the weather and I reckon you could have a real field day!! Thanks James.
