Dave-G
Looking into the left hand side of the breach area from above, there is a long "hair" spring with a 60 degree-ish bend at the end. Anyone know what it does and if the end should locate above or inside the magazine stop area please? Also could someone dry/empty shell fire theirs and let me know if the bolt is harder to open after it's been fired than before its been fired, (IE cocked and opened it without firing). fo5ter
the spring should sit horizontal in line with the breach above the magazine and should not come into contact with the mag at all. This spring is what ejects the spent case when you pull the bolt back after firing. Try feeding a spent case into the breach by hand, cycle the bolt and then very slowly pull the bolt back to open the breach and you should see the the brass gets flicked out by the angle of the wire spring. If yours desnt do this or is seated into the mag well i would go see the 'smith. As for the bolt mine is about the same loaded or dry fring, though sometimes its a little stiffer this is barely noticable, i would suggest oiling the bolt next time you clean it or since you may be going to the gunsmith anyway you could just get him to take a look. I have never had any problems with mine except the rare occasion when it has trouble ejecting live rounds
Dave-G
Ah - that makes explanation makes perfick sense thanks fo5ter. I have fept the bolt well oiled, and it is only slightly harder to lift the bolt after firing so I may just be getting too picky thanks. TheHunter
Once while assembling after cleaning i caught the wire between underside of the bolt and left mag top area. Luckly i stopped pushing the bolt in before the wire bent but it now rubs lightly on the underside of the bolt so i ensure there is a little grease on that part of the bolt. omegabri
Hi guys Just a quicky.. If you take the stock off and unbolt the plastic magazine holder from the mech. you can easily relocate the ejector spring. It's held down in place by a tiny grub screw at one end on the outside of the magazine housing Hope this helps Bri...
