Pigeon Sniper,

 

The figure you mention is in millimetres and will usually read something like 18,2 or 18,3 i.e. 18.2 or 18.3 mm (remember that on the continent they use the comma instead of the decimal point). This generally refers to the bore dimensions directly in front of the chamber. If it actually refers to the choke at the muzzle and not the constriction just in front of the chamber then I'd take it to be about cylinder choke. However, I'm sure somebody with a better understanding will come along to clarify the position.
