Its not the Decoys that make the walk out a trial, it's the stuffing weights and I know of no way around that on a tidal marsh, unless you want to see them float away.

 

I lost two last year. One went in the direction of Lincolnshire, where they probably either tried to make love to it, or ate it, or both,( strange dudes reside over there mate), one got shot by an idiot..............me.

If the weights bother you use less and bury them a spade depth into the mud perhaps? Non weighted keels are also a boon. I think the OP was asking about flat foam deeks though and those weigh significantly less than most full body geese and take up less space in the bag, I might stand corrected but that's the way I read things
