Could of been a good one

First day on the barley stubble today.

Went there with my shooting buddy for 11 having been told there were birds on it. It's quite a large area and so we planned three guns including an old boy who also shoots the farm.

We drove around (isn't it great when you can drive through the field!) but there wasn't too much about. We picked out some spots from what we could see and set up in separate hides

I had a single magnet with 4 dead birds on cradles, a dozen flocked shells and a bouncer to start with.

The weather was perfect with cloud and an 18mph wind blowing left to right to where I was set up.

The birds decoyed well, many not commiting which made for some challenging shots. It was never busy but it was steady. Around 2.30 it started to pick up and they started coming in more frequently.

I went to my car to get something only to see my rear tyre was completely flat on the Landy :( checking the spare which I hadn't checked since getting the car four years ago that was flat too.

I was gutted not just because of shooting but because my mates also cut their day short to help me with my car.

I stopped shooting around 3pm with 47 on the clicker and no doubt a hefty bill for new tyres all round.

Xplor your a top man and a great friend!! Thank you......
