I have pair of Demon Tweeks Sparco Nomex racing drivers gloves, used a bit grubby but still in perfectly good nick, I am pretty sure they are double layer but you will need to check that.

Blue with leather palms.

I can't just bin them, so if you into a bit of motor sport let me know and will post them out to you, don't buy them and stick on ebay - I could do that if I wanted to :good:

PM me if you are interested, I can post pictures if required, cover the P&P and they are yours.

You should bag them Mungler old sort!

Perfect foil to your white xr3i and pepperpots!

"XR3i with Pepperpots" - bygone!

I haven't heard that in ages.

What ever happened to the 3i's and 2i's for that matter - at one time there were millions of them on the road.

Mind you, I remember being in Manchester in 1990 and seeing a Police 2.8 Injection Capri.

Ahhhhh...

Whatever happened to all the?

Sunbeam Lotus's

HSR Chevette's

Sierra Cosworths

Escort Cosworths

6R4 Metro's

RS200's

etc etc

Most ended up in ditches or wrapped round trees but the ones that are left must be worth a bit.

One of the guys I raced with totalled a genuine Ex Works TRV8, someone bought the wreckage so they could put the engine in their AC Cobra kit car

the Police own a handfull of the few rs200's that were made.

There were never many of them and i recall hearing that you only got 8 hours of use from the engine when you were giving it all before it let go

As for the rest of them, those are all on estates and are being TWOC'd and then parked in ditches.

All those years ago was when they changed the homologation rules in rallying to finally kill off the nutty Group B cars, they told all the manufacturers they had to make and sell a minimum of 300 cars for the road. I had to go to Oxford for some reason and they had all 300 White Clubman 6R4 Metros lined up in the carpark at Abingdon - would have made a great picture

most of those classic (god I am getting old) cars are now either with older boyracers... who spend £££££ loads of dosh at them .. or are in the hands of collectors who never let them out of a dehumidified barn.... (oops spelling)

Wow I am shocked that you raced! any old time pics??? cmon.. we need a laugh...

Any reason why you are shocked? just curious

I did sprints and hillclimbs for a couple of seasons back in the day, in a Lotus 7, and once in my company car when the Lotus was off the road!

I have hundreds of pictures and but they are all on paper, including a sequence shot of me almost killing myself at Goodwood  and loads of trophies as well of course! I am too lazy to upload them all, so I will dig one out of the car anyway.
