red_stag88
Leon, why dont you just shoot a fox, jab a needle into it, put it on a slant an run formaldehyde through its veins to flush out the blood and preserve it. Check on ebay to see if the one YP found is still there.

Teal
Look at this one (almost £200 lol!) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...1&category=3238 Read what the guy wrote, what a ****. Then he says that it could be a good investment for when hunting is banned but he'd already just said the fox was shot? Seems to be working for him though at almost £
Teal
Oh leon by the way a stuffed fox is brilliant for crow + maggie shooting... Usually pretty tough to decoy but with a fox they aren't even too fussed if your hide isn't perfect, if you put a dead crow / wing of crow down by the fox it'll make them even madder, good luck
leon
I have been told about that before, when i get a decoy i will try it, cheers mate.
Columbus Polumbus
Leon What you could do is shoot your fox or rabbit or both, skin the ******* from the feet but skin it so you are rolling the flesh off, sort of turning it inside out if that makes it clearer. Do not slit either up the stomach and cut off the meat at the base of the skull. Tan it a little as per Elma's thread on this site and then make a frame outa chicken wire and put the pelt over it and put it all on a wooden plynth. Alternatively, get a decoy made of foam for the rabbit, saw one once at the keepers fair on the basc stand, it was solid foam just carved out. If you find a supplier let me know cos I want one. red_stag88
I wouldn't mind one. What's people's thoughts on those moteriesd furry things that act like a wounded rabbit or something? Vermin Dropper
How about getting a realistic rabbit soft toy, splitting it's belly open then stitching or gluing a load of red wool hanging out like guts. coupled with a crow decoy(and maybe a call), I reckon it would pull a few in. It would last for ages too! :yp:

Vermin Dropper
The same company also make a "Cripple Crow" used with a call it simulates an injured crow, flapping about on the floor. :yp:

red_stag88
FYI Chappy at Crow Mart said that he cant do it because of the hassle of one decoy to one person... BUT if we all get to gether he might consider it.
Teal
Hi RS, I haven't seen this in reality -but you say you have? Is it really as simple as it looks? Looks like two pieces of plastic cut out in rough shape of wings attached to a bit of dowel, perhaps the spinning is provided by a wireless drill or something? Shouldn't be too expensive either? If you do make one let us know how you get on with it, you could become a millionaire :yp:
Columbus Polumbus
I have made my own of these for duck, crow and pigeon so if anyone wants me to knock one up............ lets talk turkey :yp: I'll do you mates rates
red_stag88
It cant be that hard, get a crow decoy, shove dowel up its ****, drill holes in the wings, shove some more dowel through, and whack some wings on it. You could get technical and use some ball races, so it span better and turned into the wind.
Vermin Dropper
You could get technical and use some ball races, Sounds like you're talking about RC cars. :yp:
