col s10
hi guys just seeing if anyone out there bothers to clean and lube ammo and do you reckon it makes any differance
pin
Lube nope, clean, nope. Select only un-damaged pellets which appear uniform, definitely Weight of the pellet is probably the most critical thing, by that I mean consistency from one to the next. Axe
I really wouldnt bother with it. By the time you've spent all that time washing it and lubing it, then putting them back in the tin, you'll have damaged the skirts anyway. Seriously though, don't take my word on it, do a quick search on 'pellet lube' there are many topics on the subject.

Hunter
I just load the things and shoot them. Dont waste your time on it, it makes very little difference. Finding the right pellet for your gun is far more important to good accuracy
abodeofbliss
yeah i use lube and they shoot so much smother you can see hear and feel the diffrence but i only do this with the H&n copper point or any tight pellet
SNAKEBITE
I think a little lube can ensure your barrell is kept rust free. maybe psychological but all the time I have the big bottle of Logunl ube I might as use it

vermin killer
one way is to gently put the pellets into a seive, and swill them in a bowl water with washing up liquid as its a degreesent and helps remove the swarf.then carefully place onto brown paper or an old towel to dry.when dried put them back in your cleaned out tin and add a few drops of high quality gun oil.then place back the lid and use as normal.u might want to check through that youve not damaged any befor adding the oil to your tin.this keeps the barrel lubed each time you use a pellet.but in all honesty you shouldnt need to do anything to the pellets if there as high quality as they say on the tin.
