  1. Yes it does add up if you are surround by a commercial shoot releasing 1000’s of birds.
  2. Skiing in France this week. Just been skimmed (daily) for €24.50 for a 500ml lager and a bailey coffee.
  3. As the 17 hornet is cf and faster than the 22 hornet, is it ok for a sak mod? When I first got my HMR that was under scrutiny......
  4. Hi. looking for one new gun for our DIY syndicate (current long term member is giving up the sport). Subs £390. Walk one stand one arrangement. Pheasant & Duck released. 5. Been in the dealers today having a look. Anyone (or family members) got one?
  6. Looking for one new member, for the coming season (17/18) for a small syndicate. Fee's between £350 - £400 Pheasant & Duck released. This year's bags - 22 / 49 / 65 / 45 / 51 / 15 / 29 / 17 / 27 / 25 / 9. Guns with dogs are desirable. PM for more information.
  7. Glad it's gone. I was after a stretch tweed pattern from a few years ago.
  8. Sold to the good gentleman above.
  9. Anyone bought from them? Seen a O/U I fancy. Google the name.
  10. Just to finish the thread. Thanks to all for your interested JDFrain (has taken the gun of a syndicate member who is now sharing a gun with another member. John has beat for us for 2 years FOC so was an obvious choice). Hogey (has taken the place of a person who now works saturdays. He was first in line for last year for a place) .
  11. Thanks for the late interest but due to popular demand (very) I will have to close it down. Hogey is first for a place and others then after........... Meet on Tues to plan next year.
  12. Yes, but very difficult to get hold of and also expensive. That is unless you go into a shop and the div behind the counter sells you 250 for the price of 25. But not many left now. Made by RWS the ones I have.
  13. Thanks for all replies here and PM!s. I have asked current members to let me know what they are doing before the end of the season. I will know for defno then. Like I say, a few have indicated they may be leaving but have not officially said. Hogey is first in line as he wanted in last season and just missed out on a place but I will let all know about places, meeting up for a look around etc etc as soon as I know for defno.
  14. Just to clarify dankidd's younger brother came beating and shooting on the shoot this year.
  15. Yes it is one of 4 that circles the village, do I owe you money? (got none). Should I be panicing?
  16. Just to give all a few more details, Hogey is first in line for a space (although he might not be interested) and then I think I might have at least 1 or 2 other spaces. The same shoot came up last year and there was a great lot of interest although a number let me down including 1 person from here who arranged to meet me beside the shoot and did not turn up. Genuine reasons for people leaving - work saturdays now, sharing 2 syndicates between 2 guns. If your interested just post here and I will get back to you when I have more details about spaces (approx 2 weeks). It is not first come first served but who suits the best. All members ages range for low 30's to mid 50's. The walking is quiet demanding so you must be physically fit. Shoot just outside of morpeth. £320 (this season) per year paid in feb. Predicted about the same this year. Shoot saturday. 150 duck and 350 phes released. Shot 8 times (so far) this year. Bags so for for this season - 33,34,28,43,31,42,29,50 with 2 more remaining. 14 members 2 x teams(stay the same all season), walk one stand one, pegs drawn and teams swap over drives every week. Pigeon shooting anytime. Possible deer stalking (not a lot, average 2 - 3 roe per year). I do all keeping (covered by other members when I am on holiday - only 1 week this year), but 3 - 4 work days & 1 feeder fill per season (anytime that month). Full break down of money spent (to the last penny) given at the end of the season. members pair up to do catering days, port, pork pies etc for 11's. One off cost of about £30, but you get catered for all other days. Insurance cover needed. Shoot and work dates agreed in feb. Clay shoot at local shooting ground (5 mins away) then a bbq back at the farm. Any other questions? Anyone else interested? Dogs?
  17. Interest now closed. We met as a syndicate last night and there is defno 2 spaces available. One of the guys in the syndicate is getting married on saturday so I cannot meet people this weekend. I will sort that out very soon. And with 10 people interested into 2 spaces, where do I start.
  18. Ok all seems sorted now. It looks like there will be 2 places (possibly a third). I have loads of people interested posting here and via PM. Can people PM me (genuine interested parties) Name - Location - (town is enough for the minute) Age - Dog (s) - Experiences in shooting (any) - Contact Number (mobile enough for now but I will want home number when coming for a look) - (Any answer these makes no difference, we all started somewhere, some people don't have dogs, we will all get old etc etc applogies if you have already sent them) You must be willing to - Mix well Be safe Willing to work (3 work days already arranged) Have insurance Enjoy yourself - vital Shoot Pigeons / crows when you want or needed by the farmer Have the urine extracted when you miss and get told it was to close when you hit (lol) - GSOH. You (possibly) will be invited up for a look around - prob next weekend. (15 - 16th)
  19. Another update. Sorry to be a pain but the job situation is going through a 30 day review process. I will update about places as soon as I can. 2 of the guys who might loose their jobs have dogs, people who fit the shoot and who have dogs will get the first options.
  20. Sorry guys, still up in the air. It all depends on what happens with a parts supplier to Nissan. 3 of the lads work there and they are waiting to find out about their jobs, they should have known last Friday. There could be no spaces or 3. The lads want in. But - if they don't have a job then priorities change. I will let all know when I know. Plenty of time till next Oct.
  21. On a let day in the next few weeks up at lilburn beside wooler, anyone shot there? I have heard they are quiet sporting.
