Hi JEF ; George has a valid point you might pick some at a large game fair !as for the fenn ;s try John Dee Humane Traps :01395~233340 what they charge now I don;t know ? Genuine Fenn traps have A.FENN stamped on the plate well worth remembering. Hi George springers are a good trap ; but not as good as the Fenn , the Fenn has one more coil in the springs than the Springer ; thus making it a slightly stronger trap ! but I;m biased , I have got several Springers in my trapping box :thumbs: hope this has been of some help Rattymole

No problem JEF ; but beware those so called Fenn traps are not original British made Fenn;s ; but cheap chinese cr*p !!! rust like hell ; weak springs and do not close up correctly ! original Fenn;s cost nigh on twice that ! Hi V Max ; no problem ; hope I;m not trying to teach my grannie to suck eggs ? just a few tips ; take loads of tools with you ; i:e loping shears ; bill~hooks ; slashers etc ; and obviously a couple of spades ; just in case one breaks also during the summer months collect as many plastic flower pots as you can; from large to small ; apply the gas then stuff the flower pot down the hole ; this stops the gas being covered by soil and less digging / back filling ; hope this advise has been of some help best regards Rattymole

Hi Vmax ; yes Phostoxin ( Alumimium Phoside ) is still legal but you will need to go on a training course to enable you to buy the product ; give Lisa Wales a ring at Killgerm 01924~268445 they are doing several training course;s in Scotland ; but to be honest with you ; you;ll be wasting your time / money this time of the year for as the stinging nettles etc are growing and you only have to miss one pop~hole and all the gas will escape !! If you can trap them with Fenn mk6;s /snares or rifle the rabbits you soon will make an inroad in the population; I myself as a professional pest controller do not rate the stuff !! and in the wrong hands it is LETHAL ; as you probably know you must never use Phostoxin in the rain ; as the Aluminium Phoside re~acts with moisture if you did and screwed the lid down ; you would be walking around with a live hand grenade and if the explosion didn;t get you the gas would !! The course;s are £95 ; plus you will need a Talpex applicator £93 + vat plus gas at £22 + vat per cannister that;s a lot of money ; just think how many traps/ snares/ammo you could buy with that money ? hope this has been of some help to you Vmax

Hi , I know what you mean , but the farmers will cash in on this !! but on the flip side of the coin prices will rise ! there is already a £100 rise on a ton of Pheasant pellets /rearers / crumbs , Pig farmers are moaning about the price of Barley so the cost of Bacon will rise , they reckon by June a loaf of bread will cost £2 and a pint of beer will be £4 , and do not even get me started on the price of Diesel , even chicken farmers are moaning about the cost of wheat , eggs in ASDA before xmas were 99p/15 eggs , now £1.25 !!!! no recession ? yeah right , the sooner we get this shower of ****e out the better! any way rant over ! I,m off to have my Sunday roast ( pork / stuffing/ plus spuds and trimmings ) whilst I still can afford it, just before I go ask your self have your wages gone up in line with inflation !!
