    smart looking old ride there matey ........................ if I remember correctly the carbs were a soft spot and needed regular balancing I think a few people I knew cobbled the slabside carbs onto them  but if your just going to lightly restore / bring back to it prior glory I would just get them ones ultrasonic cleaned and balanced

    I,ve got 2 of the top one both in better condition and i.m.h.o I would not of valued them that high .................................... but then again I may be wrong

    I suppose they are worth what ever amount of money someone wants to pay

    not being funny LB just asking my thought ......... ............ will it be allowed through customs as I was watching one of those customs at the airport type programmes and they intercepted a shipment of ornamental knives and did not let it in and sent it for destruction

    I degreased it with some neat T.F.R [traffic film remover] then fine wire brush in drill then differing grades of scotchbrite pads from course to fine then 0000 wire wool and then solvol cream polish  then mer polish to help seal it

    I wish I had some polishing mops and soap at hand tho . might of been easier / less time consuming but hey ho I didn't so used what I had available

    I did my sisters a while back in between hers and next door caravan all tantalised wood laid on prepped ground ie dug out 4" of dolomite medium wacked down to allow drainage then heavy gauge weed membrane .

    framing is at 16" centres tanalized

    you and lets say your brother (hypothetical) both get caught for the exact same offence  you earn treble the amount of salary as your brother so at court he gets a fine of lets say ? £700 + costs

    at court for the exact same offence because of your higher earnings you get fined £4000 + costs

    so is that in any way a fair outcome ...........................   I very much doubt it and as for " being in the public eye " statement made by some that should make no difference either .

    there will be loads of people like him fighting problems in their life but without the media interest he made a massive mistake (which can not be defended in any way what so ever) of getting behind the wheel

    there has been numerous cases of repeat offenders committing more serious crimes which in some cases have ended in loss of life that have not been fined a fraction of his fine being famous and earning a high salary is not a crime

    FIRST OF ALL I'LL SAY THAT I IN NO WAY AT ALL CONDONE WHAT HE HAS DONE .......

    But I do believe that in my opinion the fine that has been imposed on him is absolutely ridiculous and his legal team should insist on an appeal to get it reduced ......

    Yes he commited a terrible offence  but there has been numerous  cases where some little dope taking scrote high on whatever and drunk as a skunk has been caught after a life risking high speed chase after colliding with multiple vehicles and in some cases badly injuring people and they virtually get a slap on the wrist . With a fine that the tax payer picks up .....

    Unbelievable how badly the judge got it wrong

    2003 Mercedes vaneo 1.7cdi trend in excellent condition only 2 keepers from new .
    has a lot of history from either a Mercedes main agent or an independant merc specialist up to date

    2 keys
    has wanted for nothing lots of paperwork to prove
    has a stainless steel exhaust fitted last year has had recent brake work done inc new caliper on rear
    had 2 new front coil springs last week @ a cost of over £120
    had new gearbox oil and filter 3 weeks ago all tyres good inside clean no rips or tears
    electric windows mirrors sunroof
    sony head unit
    traffic recording camera built into rear view mirror
    2 x slide loading doors
    up n over tailgate
    does have some very slight age related marks but it is a 2003 motor car the main one being a slight crack in o/s/r light lens but no white light to rear or hole so not an issue for legal reasons or mot
    starts drives and stops as it should no lights on the dash
    very good on fuel
    genuine low miles which can be checked on vosa web site
    mot expires 21 September 2018 but will put full 12 months on if asking price achieved
    check ebay these are holding prices very well indeed @ £2k+ for ones like this
    price is £1750 O.V.N.O BUT NO STUPID OFFERS
    will be adding to ebay in a few days time

    hey ho here we go again!!

     

    what is it with the leaders of this country ?

    is it part of the T&C,s of stepping into No10 that they put the American puppet strings on and wait for "the gold ole US of A " to pull and tug on them .

    but this time its  nut case trumpy bear on the other end................................................. god are we stuffed !!!
